Today, there are 27 electric arc furnace mill plants (EAF), 11 induction furnace plants and 3 BOF plants in Türkiye.

It's total crude steel production capacity is over 50 million tons as of 2023. Steel products are used mainly in construction, automotive, ship, aircraft, railway, and railcar materials, and all machinery, equipment, and goods production. These products are preferred not only in Türkiye but all over the world. So much so that in the last 10 years, it has achieved an important position in the world’s steel markets with its production and exports.
