An Aromatic Drink from Türkiye
It is estimated that more than 240 million cups of tea are consumed daily. Türkiye, which attaches great importance to tea from a socio-cultural perspective, ranks 7th in terms of the width of tea farming areas in the world and 6th in dry tea production with an average of 297,000 tons of dry tea produced per year.
Tea farming in Türkiye started in the early years of the Turkish Republic in order to create a livelihood for the people living in the Eastern Black Sea region and to meet the demand for tea in the country. It then became the region's most basic source of livelihood and employment potential, with many years of encouragement and support practices by the state. Tea agriculture is currently performed in the Eastern Black Sea region which hosts the Rize, Trabzon, Artvin, and Giresun provinces, where the tea production industry can also be found.
Tea agriculture in Türkiye is carried out in the Eastern Black Sea region, from the Georgian border to the Fatsa District of Ordu. In this region, tea cultivation takes place primarily in the Rize, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon and Artvin provinces. This region is among the highest regions in the world for tea growing areas. In our country, the temperature falls below zero and the tea field remains fallow for 6 months of the year. Snow falls on the tea gardens during the winter months, eliminating the need for agricultural spraying, giving Turkish tea an important advantage. This, in contrast to the tea produced elsewhere in the world, has given Turkish teas the characteristic of being the most natural tea in the world.
Black tea, due to its antioxidants and polyphenols, provides antibacterial activity, helps prevent neurodegenerative diseases, improves oral health, and helps facilitate digestion.
Türkiye is one of the few countries where you can get the best quality products at the right price thanks to its production frequency, advanced technologies, and rich lands.
Tea cultivation occurs entirely naturally in the Eastern Black Sea region without exposure to any chemical substances. For this reason, Turkish tea can be called the healthiest tea.
Due to Türkiye's excellent location, products can be exported to almost anywhere in the world via air, land, and sea.
